A Give and Take Day is like a jumble sale except that everything is free. The idea is for people to get rid of things that they don't want without throwing them away, and also to pick up some new things. As the day is part of the Rethink Rubbish Western Riverside campaign our aim is to use the day to educate local people about wider issues of waste minimisation and recycling, as well as issues of sustainable living in general. We are inviting Work and Play (the Children's Scrap Store based in Wandsworth) to come and do children's activities and there will be refreshments provided.  As well as the actual junk swapping we will feature other like-minded organisations, such as LETSLINK LONDON, so that people can learn about all the amazing initiatives that are out there.
