Local Strategic Partnerships and Sustainable Development
- The Practical Implications of the New Report - Followed
by: Policies, Processes and Planning: how do we build better
links between political processes and Sustainable Development
in London?
Thursday 10th March, 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Venue: London Community Recycling Network offices, Grayson
Square, N1 6HT.
London 21 Sustainability Network would like to invite its
members and supporters to discuss the implications of our
new report on Local Strategic Partnerships and Sustainable
Development.
Accompanying the official launch in January, the meeting will
allow individuals, community and voluntary organisations,
local agenda 21 groups and Borough representatives to discuss
the reports on a more intimate scale, to receive direct feedback
and plan for the future. Chris Church of Community Environment
Associates and Vicki Carroll of the Wandsworth Environment
Forum will be on hand to present the reports and answer queries
from members.
The last half hour of the meeting will be dedicated to discussing
how those working on local sustainability can find their way
through the complex web of plans, policies and processes that
guide development in London and can make their voices heard
effectively. The final aim will be to discuss the possibility
of formally launching a new 'policies and planning' Working
Group. The meeting is open to all members and supporters of
London 21 Sustainability Network. www.london21.org/right/downloads/finallspreport.doc
Please contact Edouard at info@london21.org
or on 020 7359 8228 to book your place. The event is free
for London 21 supporting members (£3 for others) but
places are limited so book in advance to avoid disappointment.
